Capabilities
The firm works in six domains. Each is a real book of work with ventures behind it — not a service-menu line item. Every vertical can be engaged in any of three modes: advisory, principal investment, or incubation.
Original properties built as franchise systems: canon, characters, formats, and the approval process that keeps them coherent as they scale across media.
Canon structure, character systems, and the bible that holds a universe together across formats.
Studio-grade review process for art, story, and licensed output.
Card games, series concepts, collectibles, and companion products.
How ownership is structured before the first partner conversation.
Advisory and build work translating frontier capability into operating decisions — and agent systems that actually run inside a business.
Where the capability is real, where it is not, and what to sequence first.
Runtimes, tool access, evaluation, and the human checkpoints around them.
Board- and operator-level programs on frontier capability and its limits.
AI in the content pipeline without surrendering authorship or rights.
Work concerned with ownership, provenance, and community rights on open networks — not trading, custody, or token issuance.
How ownership of a creative asset is recorded and honored over time.
Utilities and infrastructure built for existing communities and their creators.
Membership, contribution, and co-creation structures around an IP.
Reading a chain-based product honestly before it is committed to.
Owned editorial infrastructure and vertical publications — the firm's answer to renting distribution from platforms.
Vertical titles on owned infrastructure, from stack to editorial standard.
Production cadence, sourcing discipline, and house style.
Direct channels first; platforms as amplification, never as foundation.
Positioning language that survives contact with a skeptical reader.
Curriculum and programs that move a specific capability into an organization — designed to be taught, not just delivered.
Sequenced material with a defined competence at the end of it.
Cohort and one-to-one formats for leadership teams.
The written artifact that outlives the engagement.
Internal training that a client's own team can run without us.
Consumer products and the communities around them — built, shipped, tested, and re-architected until the product earns its market.
Concept to shipped surface, with the iteration count that implies.
Membership and participation mechanics that survive growth.
Positioning, pricing posture, and the first honest hundred users.
Knowing which generation to keep and which to abandon.
Modes
Retained or project-based counsel, scoped in writing and delivered by the principal. The most common way to start.
Principal participation on the firm's own account where we already advise — equity, revenue share, or IP co-ownership.
Origination and build. The firm carries a concept from proof to standalone operation, alone or alongside a founding partner.
Investment activity is conducted on the firm's own account only. Finnstar Co does not manage outside capital, provide investment advice, or deal in securities or digital assets. See Disclosures.
